Wendy Frew had no problems winning titles as a player, her challenge now to fashion a similar outcome as she steps into the role of head coach for Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel in the 2025 ANZ Premiership.

Plenty of player movement is set to add extra intrigue to the start of the 2026 ANZ Premiership, with a new-look Te Wānanga o Raukawa Pulse kicking off the season at home against the AVIS Magic in the opening match of the draw confirmed today.

The ANZ Premiership will celebrate its 10th season in 2026, highlighting a decade of elite domestic netball while ushering in a new era for the competition.

Get ready for a thrilling return to the court – with the ANZ Premiership competition airing exclusively on TVNZ in 2026. Netball New Zealand and TVNZ have today announced a partnership that will see the domestic season shown across TVNZ 2 and TVNZ+ next year.  

Netball will be showcased on Sky in 2025, following confirmation today that Netball New Zealand and Sky have agreed a one-year extension to their existing broadcasting partnership.

Experienced shooter Jennifer O’Connell will return to the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel for the 2024 ANZ Premiership season.
