Hume to depart Robinhood Stars

After four years in the purple dress, shooter Jamie Hume will not be returning to the Robinhood Stars for the 2024 ANZ Premiership season.

Hume joined the Stars in 2020 and a standout 2021 campaign saw her selected for the 2021/2022 Silver Ferns squad. Hume also helped the Stars reach their Grand Final appearances in 2022 and 2023.

"This season has definitely been tough mentally and physically after coming back from my shoulder reconstruction and after reflecting on the year that has been, I think that now is the right time for a change." Hume said.

"I have loved my time at the Stars and the players that I have been able to play with over the last four years will be friends for life. I’m excited to see what this next chapter looks like." 

Stars coach Kiri Wills appreciates what Hume has brought to the Stars dress over the past four years.

"We've seen her grow as both a player and person. Jamie is an amazing teammate and team member on and off the court and we wish her the very best."
